Our past few months....

I have been trying for about 3 months to post pictures and updates onto Blogger.... seems there is an issue with my computer at home. I can get anything to upload for some reason :( So I am at work right now.... it's been slow all day, so I figured I would do an update on what we have been up to latley... with out the pictures :( So let's see... where do I start??

Let's start with the sunshine in my life- Merrick :) I can not believe he is already one! Where the heck did that year go?!? He has been such an awesome baby. It's been such a joy to watch him grow and lean new things. He LOVES to dance. When he hears any type of music (really gets moving to Justin Bieber! haha!) he starts to wiggle around or tap his feet, it's pretty cute I must say! He'll be your best friend if you share what ever you are eating with him. Loves food! For some reason he says "mama" when you give him food. LOL. I love it! Pretty sure he can say kitty cat and doggie... some times it's clear as day, others it's kinda hard to tell. Of course he can say mama and dada :) He can wave bye-bye and gives the best kisses in the world. He can walk, just started being able to stand up with out the assistance of the couch yesterday! Oh- and yesterday I caught him on top of the fireplace... so he can definatly climb! LOL Loves to watch Yo-Gabba-Gabba and Spongebob.... I think he said "Aye, Aye Captain" a few weeks ago when the song for Spongebob came on. Its was so weird! Jared and I just looked at eachother like, did he really just say that!?! LOL My sister Diana is watching him this summer while she is out of school.... he loves playing with her! It's adorable how his face lights up when he see's her. Same for when he see's his Grandma and Papa! I'm so happy we live close to my family. He loves spending time at their house!

The Head of the Household- The Husband! He is back to work again :) There was a big ordeal with the company and union where he works. Apparently they couldn't decide on contract details, so everyone who was part of the Union was locked out until it was resolved. He doesn't have a choice in being part of the Union so financially it was a tough couple of months. He was still able to get unemployment and also found another job a few weeks prior to being able to retain his old job. Thank goodness for a good tax return! We were able to live off of that for a few months and didn't have a shortage of help from my parents. They are the best! :) It really taught us that we need to have more money put into our savings account for things that come up unexpectedly! Also, he was in an accident a few weeks ago. We had just paid off our car, on a Friday. Then the following Sunday the car was totalled. Thank goodness he was not hurt.... walked away with a small scratch on his arm. He was pretty shook up though! It's always been a fear of mine for him to be in an accident on the road that he drive everyday to work. Once agian, thank goodness for my parents... they loaned us a car until we were able to get the insurance money and able to buy a car. So we are now the owners of a 2008 Mustang. Jared loves it and has always wanted one. In our garage right now, he has a 66 Mustang that he is restoring. It's going to look great when it's done! :) I can't say enough about him.... he's a great daddy and husband. So helpful and loving! Would give me and Merrick the world if he could I'm sure! :) I love him to death!!

It's the summer for weddings I think! My brother, Lewis was married in May. My cousin Joey was married in June... Merricks birthday to be exact! And Jared's sister, Cyndee is getting married in August. It's been fun though! Gives us a weekend away from Ridgecrest which is always nice! :)

Our dog Rusty has IVDD... intervertable disc disease. Its been a tough couple of weeks for him. We have decided to go ahead with the surgery to fix it. All thought it has been hard to come up with the money for it, we just are not ready to say goodbye to our first "baby". Jared took him down to the animal hospital today. He should go into surgery either this evening or first thing in the morning and we should be able to pick him up in a few days.

Well I think that just about covers everything! I have a lot of pictures from the last few months and hope I can post them soon! :) Hope everyone is doing well and having a great summer!!
