Ikea

For as long as I can remember Jared and I have always had hand-me-down furniture. When we got married the only thing we had to buy new was our kitchen table and chairs (which we bought with gift cards to K-Mart and are STILL in great condition!). Little by little I have been trying to make everything "match" by painting the pieces the same color. By now most of the furniture in our house is a black-brown color and I love it! We had two pieces left in the living room that I hadn't painted because I was secretly holding out to purchase something NEW :) Well the time has come and I couldn't be more excited! We purchased a new TV a few weeks ago and our current TV stand just isn't cutting it, plus it no longer fits in with my color scheme... So we are purchasing a new entertainment center from Ikea. I absolutely LOVE Ikea. They have some great stuff and the prices are pretty reasonable as well.

The first piece we have purchased is pictured below. I think it's even more beautiful in person and can't wait to complete the look with the other matching pieces!
